okay. i'm back. cos i realised what i posted was very wordy.. and this post will be too. but i want this post on top. so ya. here it goes.......
27/07. this is the day i'll always remember, i'll never forget.
cos... its my really good friend's birthday.. HMM. is he really a good friend? NAH he suck totally (right terence?) heard that? you are a LOUSY friend recently. TOTALLY POOPY.
oh wells. today is my sec3 form teacher's 2nd death anniversary.
surprised? oh well. she was 23 then. young huh. yes.
i do miss her. i really do. she was one of the most amazing teacher ever. well maybe cos she was young.
i remember her as a puny teacher, with a loud voice, spunky, lifely.
she was well loved by everyone who meets her.
that smile when we do well.. that concern when we get into trouble. her enthusiasm for charity. her love for books. i will never forget.
she was the one who made me read 10 over novels in a year. okay. maybe half. but the legacy was carried on. 10 novels. more than i've ever encounted.
she was not a catholic at that time. but she went up to the podium.. and led us in prayer. such was her faith in GOD. she put many christians to shame with her devotion. her charity, the love she shows to everyone.
she bought us presents too. but that''s just minimal. we love her for the way she is.
then came that faithful day. the teachers had an urgent meeting in the morning. then the lessons came.. subjt teachers came and go..
there were gossips going around. i didnt believed them.
than came DHAR. the math teacher. she said," you all got to understand. we have to treasure our lives. what we have. be grateful for it might just be taken away. suddenly." (well not exactly likt tt.. i added stuff. add more spice la)
1.30pm the class was brought to the auditorium. sad faces around.
my heart was racing.
what's going on?
we went in.
V.P. was there.
councillors were there.
then they broke the news.
"ms serene leong have passed away on 27th july"
i was ..........
we were given an empty slip of paper to jot down anything we wanted to say, to give to her. but.. i couldnt.
i remember writing: God loves you. he loves me. he loves..... i drew a cross.
the next day. or was it the following day. not important though. 3busses full of students. 3busses full. we went to her wake. she have touched all our lives. she have. i remember that day.. how i wished how i hoped that it was all just a joke. i prayed that she would pop out and say HEY! belated april's fool!
i went for the funeral too. the grieve in the family member's eyes. it was unbearable. i too could hardly hold back my tears. i saw her in the coffin, all made up. she does not look like her. i didnt think she wanted to go. she had a mission.. she wouldnt LEAVE US BEHIND.
the last time i saw her alive was on racial harmony day. she was wearing a green vietnamese costume.. i didnt fulfill her last request. she wanted me to perform that day. i should have. i should have. i should have.
that last scene, i saw her, rushing up the stairs. that was the last time.
the
very
last
time.
i'll be really amazed if you have really read up to here. cos i think its really dry. but its for me. the feelings are true.. maybe not well expressed. sorry.
